July 3: Five for Friday

I'm joining up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for another five for Friday! :)

I decided to sort my stations by skill! It's a good thing Sarah from Shine On in First Grade came to the rescue.  She kept me company while I loaded my stations into the fabric boxes. I had the fabric boxes from when my kids were younger. Now, I just need to create labels!

I have been sewing up a storm this summer. I love this pattern from Purl Soho...click here.  I have made my daughter three versions so far.  She loves foxes so I know she is going to love the one I made last night. I stayed up too late and had to rip out a french seam with my tired eyes...yuck! It was worth it though - I wonder if I could get away with wearing a fox skirt too. :)

I'm ready to decorate the room!! Yay! I went to the fabric store yesterday and took pictures of all the ones I like. Now, I just have to figure out which one to use! I like them all. What do you think?

I finished the "toy room" yesterday! I love the new color! It goes well with our fresh olive paint in the kitchen too.  :)  One more thing checked off the summer list!!

Family Fun! What summer is all about! :)

    1. Sewing is pretty simple. It's nice that when you mess up - you can just rip it out and start over. Well, unless it's a cutting mistake then I just make something else. :)

    1. My mother-in-law is an amazing seamstress. She's been teaching me for a while now. Plus, my best friend helps me too. You should give it a try!

  5. You've been busy! You're a teacher and a mom, so you could totally wear a fox print and get away with it. All of those soft grays are pretty. I'm trying NOT to redo my bulletin boards. They look great the way they are, but I like new fabric. I don't sew at all, so I need some reason to buy it!

    1. You know - I think you are right! I need to buy more of that fabric now. :)
I moved rooms so it gave me a great excuse to redo mine. I will have to come up with an excuse for next year though. ha!

  7. Thank you for stopping by... I love your blog name!
It has been a busy summer. I'm excited to have my stations by skill. I think the kids will be amused by using Santa themed cards in summer. :)
